The era of corporate dominance run amok under the Bush administration must end. Workers are increasingly struggling to achieve the American Dream. The middle class is disappearing.

But there is hope. The House of Representatives, bolstered by the voters' demand for change in last year's mid-term elections, passed this bipartisan legislation to protect the rights of workers attempting to form unions. Now it must go before the Senate where anti-worker lawmakers are threatening to filibuster. President Bush has also promised to veto the measure.

The Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) is landmark legislation that would put democracy back in the workplace and protect workers from the abuses of anti-union employers.
