The flawed bill contains a “red zone” provision that allows cuts in vested benefits. The benefits you have earned belong to you, and not even Congress has the right to take them away.

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
I am writing to urge you to vote "NO" on the so-called Pension Protection Act of 2006. This flawed bill will not protect the pensions of hard-working Americans, and in fact will undermine our retirement security.
Workers counting on pensions for a secure and stable retirement will have those promises ripped from our hands in the form a "red zone" provision that allows for a reduction in vested benefits.
Nobody should be allowed to take away the pensions we have earned.
CEOs should not be the only people left in this country with defined benefit pensions.
It is incumbent on Congress to protect the pensions of American workers. Do what is right and vote "NO."
