Number of UPS Freight Workers Seeking Membership Swells

The Teamsters' campaign to organize UPS
Freight workers is
rapidly progressing, as an overwhelming majority of workers at
the company's terminals throughout the nation recently signed
authorization cards to become Teamsters. Check out which workers
have expressed the desire to join to the union, bringing the
total number of UPS Freight drivers and dockworkers
joining the union to approximately 7,640 in less than eight
weeks.
Teamsters Reach Tentative DHL National
Agreement
The Teamsters national negotiating committee has
reached a tentative agreement on the historic DHL National
Master Agreement, which is the first new national master
agreement negotiated in the transportation sector in
decades.

Amtrak Reach Tentative Accord
The Brotherhood of Locomotive
Engineers and Trainmen and Amtrak have reached tentative
agreement on a labor contract covering 1,300 passenger engineers
who operate Amtrak’s passenger trains over its
21,000-mile, 46-state route system.

Transit Workers Unanimously Join Local 728
Nearly 200 First Transit bus operators who provide
transportation for university, Coca-Cola and other workers in
the Atlanta area voted unanimously to join Local 728 in three
separate elections held in
February.
