Support Showing of Battle in Seattle
In November
1999, five days rocked the world as 50,000 union members,
environmentalists and others took to the streets of Seattle in
protest of the World Trade Organization's Ministerial Meeting,
and changed the trade debate around the world. Now, their story
is being told in a powerful new film--and you can bring that
film to your town.
Battle in Seattle, with an all-star cast, including Charlize Theron, Woody Harrelson,
Ray Liotta, Michelle Rodriguez, Martin Henderson, Andre
Benjamin and Channing Tatum,
opens in select cities today.

Seattle
This is an
important film that every American should see -- and you can
help make that a reality.
How? If the
film is being shown in your city, you can help just by buying
a ticket. The more people who come out to see it in limited
release, the more likely it will be picked up for release
nationwide.
And if it's
not being shown in your area, you can still help. Capturing the
grassroots spirit of Seattle, the film's producers
have created a "theater takeover" program. Through it,
you can organize your friends, family, coworkers, and union
brothers and sisters to get Battle in Seattle shown in
your city.
· Get showtimes and learn how to organize a
theater takeover on the movie's official web
site.
Join the
Teamsters and other unions in supporting this important film and
reminding America that
people united for change can still make
history.
