WNYC's Takeaway Talks With Teamsters on Cross-Border
Trucking
President Obama was in
Mexico for meetings with his Canadian and Mexican counterparts.
There was a lot on the agenda, and WNYC’s The Takeaway
radio show had a range of voices weighing in on NAFTA, border
security and the swine flu. Teamsters Communications Director
Bret Caldwell spoke against opening the border to unsafe Mexican

 Teamster Organizers Bootcamp Draws Crowd in
Wisconsin
Teamster
members from across Wisconsin assembled in Green Bay on
Saturday, August 8, to participate in a Teamster Organizers
Bootcamp. More than 115 Teamsters were in attendance—the
largest assembly for an Organizers Bootcamp training to date. View future training
dates.
Time is Running Out to Sign Up for the Women's
Conference!
The 2009 Teamster
Women's Conference, slated for September 10-12 in Las
Vegas, is rapidly approaching. The hotel deadline is
August 14.
